I'm spending this holiday season with Brielle and our family in Michigan. This weekend we are near Boyne mountain. Traverse City is the closest city listed on the map here. Probably won't do any skiing but it sure is beautiful.
Being here has reminded me how much many of you pay to keep yourselves warm or cool during the extreme temperatures. It is in my plan to post on either duct work or gas furnaces this break we will see which one makes the cut.

Boyne is closer to Petoskey than Traverse City. My brother and his family live near there. Say hi to my motherland for me.
Happy New Year! We miss you in Oregon, but you have missed the snow storm of the century.
You called it Jess, I was focused on the wrong Lake Michigan bay as my reference.
We didn't miss the entire thing. We were stranded in Portland for 3 days, flying out on Wednesday morning instead of Saturday night. It was quite the sight seeing more cross country skiers on their way to Safeway than gasoline vehicles.
